Job Description
Azinno is seeking a talented, diverse, and passionate visual graphic designer with user interface design, interactive, and broadcast media experience. Responsibilities include conceptualizing, designing, and producing interactive and emotionally engaging user interface solutions.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, manage multiple activities, communicate effectively, and thrive in a chaotic consulting environment. The candidate should have a strong sense layout, color, typography, style, and a deep appreciation for simple, sleek, and most importantly, usable user interfaces.
Application, web, and branding experience is required. Azinno appreciates print designers and illustrators, but that’s not the position we’re hiring for. Preference is given to local contractors, relocation is not provided.
Responsibilities
- Participate in concept ideation.
- Create visual and brand strategies that achieve customer goals.
- Visualize and mock up user interfaces, web interfaces, motion graphics, and animation designs. Finesse designs at a vector and pixel level.
- Evolve the design to create production ready user interface layouts, color palettes, typography, icons, and occasionally print collateral.
- Deliver great design on a deadline.
- Ability to wow and impress clients.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of user interface and interactive media experience.
- A degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Communications, or a related design discipline.
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Interpret people’s needs, present design concepts, and effectively communicate with internal staff and clients.
- Proficiency with editors, document authoring tools, and content management systems, including advanced features.
- Create technical drawings (from sketches) for presentations and user interface specifications.
- Understand limitations of web technologies including: HTML, Flash/Flex, and CSS.
- A passion to deliver emotionally satisfying user experiences.
- Able to travel to client sites for presentations or research.
Knowledge or experience with any of the following is desirable
- Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
- Working knowledge of Flash and or/Flex environments.
- Able to evangelize the human-centered design process.
- Knowledge of usability testing.
- iPhone UI design guidelines.
- Touch and tactile interfaces.
- Advertising and marketing savvy.
- Experience in the sports industry, or team sport fanatic.
A design portfolio is required to be considered for this position!

Azinno is seeking a talented, diverse, passionate, and experienced usability or human factors researcher with a consumer product background.
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and fast, manage multiple activities, communicate effectively, and thrive in a chaotic consulting environment. The candidate should have a love for simple, sleek, and most importantly, usable solutions.
Preference is given to local contractors, relocation is not provided.
Responsibilities
- Participate in concept ideation.
- Manage and conduct heuristic, usability, and competitive and studies, with a deep understanding of task-based methods.
- Execute all research and study aspects:
- Write a program plan and budget
- Recruit, moderate, and host studies
- Collect, analyze, summarize, and present results
- Work with clients to implement recommendations
- Create strategies and metrics to assure customer goals are achieved.
- Deliver on a deadline.
- Ability to wow and impress clients.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of usability testing experience.
- Consumer product evaluation experience; including hardware, software, and web solutions.
- Ability to discuss the pros and cons of related quantitative and qualitative methods.
- A degree (or working towards one) in Human-Computer Interaction, Usability Engineering, Human Factors, Psychology (Experimental, Industrial, Cognitive), Industrial Design, or a related design discipline.
- Proficiency with editors and document authoring tools; adding content to our website using a content management system, MS Word, MS Excel.
- Setup a usability study on a minimal budget.
- Able to travel, some studies require travel to client sites.
Knowledge or experience with any of the following is desirable
- Deep human factors understanding.
- Build user personas.
- Knowledge of field research protocols.
- Digital video recording or editing software.
- Have experience communicating user-centered methodologies.
- Understand limitations of web technologies including: HTML, Flash/Flex, and CSS.
- A passionate knowledge on what makes an emotionally satisfying user experience.
